Six of the Top-10 in the World Headline Early Commitments
5K @ the LPGA Returns to the Walmart AMP; BITE Experience Returns to the #NWAChampionship
ROGERS, Ark. – Tournament officials announced today an elite field of early commitments for the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G, taking place Sept. 13-21 (tournament rounds Sept. 19-21) at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers. Six of the top-10 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings are early commitments, headlined by World No. 2 Nelly Korda.
Joining her as early commitments in the top-10 include No. 6 and AIG Women’s Open champion Miyu Yamashita, No. 7 Hyo Joo Kim, No. 8 Angel Yin, No. 9 Mao Saigo and No. 10 Charley Hull.
The tournament will also feature the return of fan favorite Lexi Thompson, who stepped away from full-time competition in 2024, as well as several Arkansas Razorback alums, including Stacy Lewis, Brooke Matthews and Gaby Lopez.
Tournament officials also announced today that Arkansas All-American and 2025 NCAA Individual Champion Maria José Marin and Arkansas alum and 2019 NCAA Individual Champion Maria Fassi will join the field as sponsor invitations for the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G. José Marin received her exemption through The Road to the #NWAChampionship program, a partnership between the tournament and the University of Arkansas women’s golf team that awards the top-performing student-athlete a spot in the field. She made her LPGA debut at the 2024 #NWAChampionship, finishing tied for 17th.
They will join a field a 144-player field comprised of the world’s best professional golfers vying for a share of the $3 million purse.
Tickets on Sale: Tickets are on sale for the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G, with prices starting at just $10. Kids 17 and under will receive free admission each day, courtesy of Nestle. Military personnel and first responders will also have complimentary grounds access, courtesy of 3M. Fans can enjoy premium golf viewing from three different public viewing decks, located at #1 tee, #17 tee, and #18 green. 5k @ the LPGA returns to the Walmart AMP: The 5K @ the LPGA benefiting Mercy, the official kick off to #NWAChampionship Week, returns to the Walmart AMP on Saturday, Sept. 13 at 7:30 a.m. Participants can choose between a traditional 5K race and a 1K fun run / walk. Local companies are encouraged to enter a Corporate Challenge team to compete for the titles of Fastest Office, Fittest Office, and more. Registration is available online for just $20, which includes an event gift bag, race t-shirt, finisher medal, a complimentary ticket to the #NWAChampionship and more. Volunteers are also needed for the event in a variety of roles including packet pick-up, course marshals and finish line volunteers.
Following the race, all guests are encouraged to attend the community celebration and vendor expo in the AMP’s Choctaw Plaza, which features free breakfast and over 15 vendor activations. Highlighting the vendor expo are activations from Chobani’s La Colombe coffee truck, Woodhouse Spa mini-massages, Bloom Nutrition Cheer Station, and #LikeAGirl photo opportunities. Guests can also expect food and beverage activations from local eateries such as El Chefe Mexican Cuisine, Parlor Donuts and Swoon Juice Bar.

BITE Experience @ the LPGA returns to the #NWAChampionship
The BITE Experience @ the LPGA returns onsite at the #NWAChampionship, Sept. 19 – 21, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily. Each day of the BITE Experience will feature 30+ local restaurants and breweries, brand activations, local art, and premier golf viewing on the 16th hole. Seeds that Feed
New in 2025, the BITE Experience @ the LPGA is partnering with Ziploc and Seeds that Feed to repurpose excess food from the onsite food festival to provide accessible meals to the Northwest Arkansas community. Seeds that Feed is a local organization that works alongside local farmers to collect and redistribute surplus food as healthy meals for underserved populations in the area. The initiative is supported by BITE NW Arkansas partner, Ziploc, as a local touchpoint in support of their mission to protect food and reduce waste. As part of the initiative, the #NWAChampionship is making a $5,000 charitable donation to Seeds that Feed, which will benefit the organization's programs such as CareCropping, mobile networks, and their pHed initiative. As part of the tournament’s ongoing sustainability efforts, the event strives to divert over 90% of waste throughout the event (88% in 2024), which will be supported by this new initiative.
