Announces Dates for 2025 Tournament
#NWAChampionship Week returns September 15 - 21, 2025 to Pinnacle Country Club
ROGERS, Ark. – Tournament officials have announced today the return of the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G to Pinnacle Country Club next fall, slated to take place September 15 - 21, 2025. The event hosted its 18th edition earlier this fall, with Jasmine Suwannapura taking home the #NWAChampionship title, marking her first win on the LPGA Tour since 2019. A robust line up of community-driven events highlighted the week, including the 5k @ the LPGA benefiting Mercy, the BITE Experience @ the LPGA, the event’s signature onsite food festival, as well as various contributions to local organizations.
“Each year, the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G brings together not only the world’s best female golfers but also the vibrant community of Northwest Arkansas,” said Jennifer R. Jackson, Walmart Senior Vice President, Merchandising. “This event is a celebration of sport and the power of giving back – demonstrating our commitment to empowering women and supporting local organizations that make a real difference in our lives.”
The 2024 edition of #NWAChampionship Week took place Sept. 23 - 29 at Pinnacle Country Club, returning as a family-friendly, accessible event for the entire region to enjoy. Additional highlights from the week include the return of free community events such as yoga classes and a guided bike ride to the tournament, enhanced onsite experiences for families at the Walmart and P&G Kids Confidence Club and Pampers Family Tent, a women’s empowerment summit, and more.
The BITE Experience @ the LPGA also returned onsite at Pinnacle Country Club, featuring over 60 local restaurants and breweries throughout the weekend. Each day of the BITE Experience celebrated diversity through food, music and art and highlighted minority owned and operated local establishments in partnership with community organizations such as Casa Dos Alas, NWA Girl Gang, and NWA Equality.
Following its certification as a GEO Certified® Sustainable Golf Tournament in 2023, the #NWAChampionship continued to drive forward its sustainability efforts through a variety of initiatives onsite at the 2024 event. Overseen by the GEO Sustainable Golf Foundation, the internationally recognized standard is designed to strengthen and promote golf’s social and environmental commitment. Currently, the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G is only the second event on the LPGA Tour to receive this recognition.
Highlights from the 2024 event include:
- In partnership with local organization Food Loops, the tournament surpassed its waste diversion rate by diverting 88 percent (84 percent in 2023) of waste from the landfill, including over 14,000 pounds of cardboard used throughout the event.
- In an effort to promote low carbon travel to the event, the tournament partnered with Mercy, Pedal it Forward, and Trailblazers to encourage attendees to ride their bikes to the golf course. Through the partnership, the event offered onsite valet bike parking and a guided bike ride from Bentonville to Pinnacle Country Club.
- New in 2024, a Sustainability Showcase was hosted on Hole #9 Tee, offering complimentary golf viewing and an opportunity for spectators to learn more about the event’s sustainability initiatives. The fan activation featured a life-size QR code made of upcycled materials, linking to further information about the tournament’s sustainability efforts.
- All event florals, totaling over 225 arrangements, from various spaces around the event were donated to hospice and health care facilities throughout the region following the tournament, in partnership with local organization Grateful Vase, marking the nonprofit’s largest donation in history.
“At P&G, we see investment in our local community as part of what it means to thrive as a company and the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G exemplifies this commitment,” said Jeff Metzner, Vice President of Walmart Team Marketing & Communications at Procter & Gamble. “From sustainability to the fan experience to world class golf, this event keeps getting better every year and we look forward to continuing to raise the bar as we host the 19th edition of the #NWAChampionship next fall.”
Jasmine Suwannapura, three-time LPGA Tour winner, took home the #NWAChampionship trophy after an electrifying finish on the second extra hole to win in a playoff over Lucy Li. Suwannapura’s win at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G marked her first victory on the LPGA Tour in five years.
