ROGERS, Ark. – Tournament officials have announced early commitments for the 2024 Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G featuring a popular line-up of fan-favorites, former Razorbacks and 2024 Paris Olympians, taking place September 21-29 at Pinnacle Country Club. #NWAChampionship Week will once again feature a variety of community-driven events and experiences, including the 5k @ the LPGA benefiting Mercy, BITE Experience food festival and enhanced onsite areas for families like the Walmart and P&G Kids Confidence Club and Pampers Family Tent. COMPETITION: 2024 Olympians, Fan-Favorites Highlight 2024 Early Commits List
The field for the 2024 Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G is shaping up to feature a notable line-up of LPGA Tour professionals including several Olympians from the Paris Olympic Games including World No. 2 Lilia Vu and former Razorbacks, Maria Fassi and Gaby Lopez of Team Mexico.
Also committed to compete in the #NWAChampionship is fan-favorite and major champion Lexi Thompson, playing in Northwest Arkansas for the last time of her LPGA Tour career, prior to retirement from competitive golf at the end of the season. Stacy Lewis also will return to her home turf to compete, following her time as captain of Team USA at the Solheim Cup.
Major Champions Danielle Kang, Georgia Hall, Celine Boutier and Brittany Lincicome are amongst the other fan-favorites announced in the initial field. The tournament’s final field list will be announced in the coming weeks.
NEW: BITE Experience @ the LPGA Introduces New Community Partnerships
The BITE Experience @ the LPGA, the #NWAChampionship’s signature three-day food festival, returns in 2024 to Pinnacle Country Club, highlighting diverse-owned restaurants and breweries in partnership with local community organizations – NWA Equality, NWA Girl Gang and Casa Dos Alas. A portion of ticket sales for each day will benefit these organizations.
Tickets are available for $50 online at BITENWA.com, which include access to both the tournament grounds and unlimited food and beverage sampling within the BITE Experience. Each day of the food festival will feature sampling from over 35 restaurant and brand activations along with chef demonstrations, music and art elements.
In partnership with NWA Equality on Friday, September 27, the BITE Experience will showcase local LGBTQ+ owned and ally eateries in the NW Arkansas region. Restaurants and breweries including Bordinos, Artisan Wood Fired Kitchen, Pink House Alchemy and Flyway Brewery are slated to participate.
Saturday, September 28 will feature women-owned restaurants and female chefs in partnership with NWA Girl Gang. Several new women-owned restaurants are slated to participate this year such as Gaskins on Emma, Tusk & Trotter, Urban Cellar Winery and Baked by Kori alongside NW Arkansas favorites such as Conifer, Chick’n Headz and The Daily Beet.
To round out the weekend, the BITE Experience will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month on Sunday of the event in partnership with Casa Dos Alas, a local organization that aims to fight food insecurity in Northwest Arkansas’ Hispanic communities alongside the NWA Food Bank. Local staples such as Tula, Casa Alejo, El Trompo Loco, Calle Latin Cuisine, LOMA and Tacos and Tamales Co. are slated to participate.
