2024 Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G Announces Full Schedule of Events for Community During #NWAChampionship Week    

Registration now open for the 5k @ the LPGA benefiting Mercy

Additional community events to include Yoga Classes, Junior Golf Clinic, Guided Bike Ride & More

 

ROGERS, Ark., August 1, 2024 –Tournament officials announced today a robust list of events taking place in conjunction with the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G, September 21 – 29, 2024. The week-long slate of community-driven events includes the 5k @ the LPGA, two onsite yoga classes, a junior golf clinic, a guided bike ride to the #NWAChampionship and more. Registration is now available for the 5k @ the LPGA, taking place Saturday, September 21 at 7:30 a.m. The 5k @ the LPGA benefiting the Mercy Health foundation kicks off #NWAChampionship Week at the Walmart AMP with a family-friendly 5k race, 1k Fun Run / Walk and a post-race community celebration in the venue’s Choctaw Plaza.  Local companies and organizations are invited to join the race’s Corporate Challenge to compete for titles such as Fittest Office and Fastest Office in the region. Following the race, all guests are invited to the Walmart AMP’s Choctaw Plaza for the awards ceremony, complimentary breakfast, yard games, photo opportunities and more. As part of the event gift bag, each registered participant will receive a race t-shirt, a complimentary ticket to the #NWAChampionship, a finisher medal and more. Registration is now open online for only $20.

 

Yoga for Kids presented by Dove will be hosted on Monday, September 23 at 4:30 p.m. onsite at Pinnacle Country Club. In the free, kids-focused yoga class, Allisson Kublanov of Bee Well Yoga will highlight sports and exercise as building blocks to self-esteem and confidence-building in children. In addition, an LPGA Tour professional will join the class to share how yoga and other activities have benefited her golf game and helped to build confidence. Participating children will receive a gift upon entry courtesy of Unilever and Dove. Spots are limited, so complimentary pre-registration is required online.

The Fassi’s Friends Festival, hosted by LPGA Tour professional and former Razorback golfer, Maria Fassi, will take place on Thursday, September 26 from 4-6 p.m. at the First Tee of NW Arkansas facility in Lowell, Ark. The free junior clinic is aimed at ages five and up, with all skill levels invited to attend. The clinic will feature a variety of golf-centric activities, a demonstration from Maria Fassi, autograph signing, gift bags, and more. Yoga on the Green presented by Birds Eye will return onsite at Pinnacle Country Club on Saturday, September 28 at 8 a.m. The adult-focused yoga class is open to all skill levels and will be taught by Angela Hardecke of Cocoon Yoga Lab. At the conclusion of the class, healthy treats will be available for all participants to enjoy, courtesy of Birds Eye. Registration is now available online, which includes a $5 donation to the NWA Food Bank and a complimentary daily ticket to the #NWAChampionship.

 

Northwest Arkansas community members are also invited to participate in the Guided Bike Ride to the #NWAChampionship on Saturday, September 28. The ride will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the exact length and route to the tournament to be announced at a later date. In partnership with Trailblazers and Mercy Hospital, all participants will receive complimentary admission to tournament grounds and a ticket to the BITE Experience @ the LPGA, a package valued at $50. Tickets for the #NWAChampionship are available now online. General admission tickets are available for $10 for daily access or $25 for weekly access to the tournament grounds, with children 17 and under receiving free admission to the event, courtesy of Nestlé. With a valid identification, military personnel and their family members will also be admitted free into the tournament, courtesy of 3M. Upgraded ticket options, including the BITE Experience @ the LPGA and the Choctaw Club are also available for purchase. MEDIA: Media Credentials Now Available

The tournament media credential application is now open at www.lpgamediacredentials.com. All members of the media interested in covering the tournament will need to apply for a credential.
