Q: How do I become a volunteer for the 2010 tournament?

A: Click the Online Registration page on the right-side column.

Q: Is there a fee to volunteer?

A: Yes, the fee to volunteer for 2010 is $45. If you are a P&G or WalMart employee or a Pinnacle member, your fee to volunteer will be $30 with the promotional code distributed by your employer or Pinnacle Country Club.

Q: Do Pinnacle members as well as P&G and WalMart employees receive a discount to volunteer?

A: Yes, the discounted fee is $30 with the promotional code. To receive this discount, please contact Pinnacle Country Club or your employer to get the 2010 promotional code before you register.

Q: What is included with the $45 application fee?

A: All volunteers will receive one golf shirt with tournament logo, one jacket with tournament logo, an official tournament hat or visor with logo, one volunteer credential (good as ground pass and parking pass for the entire week), 4 weekly tickets, meals on scheduled work days and an invitation to the Volunteer Appreciation Party.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept for the volunteer application fee?

A: We accept cash, check (payable to: P&G Beauty Championship) and credit cards (AmEx, Discover, Visa and MasterCard).

Q: When are the Volunteer Registration Deadlines?

A: The cut off for sending in a check is August 27, 2010. Online applications will be accepted up until Wednesday, September 1, 2010. Any last minute registrations will need to contact Tournament Coordinator, Sara Rogers.

Q: How many shifts am I required to work?


A: All volunteers must work at least 3 shifts. Shifts are typically 4-6 hours long (1 shift equals AM or PM on the application)

Q: How long is a typical shift?

A: A typical shift averages 4-6 hours in length but will vary depending on your committee assignment. Please see the Committee Description Chart for a better idea of shift times and length.

Q: Do I need to be an experienced golfer to volunteer?


A: No you do not; we have several committees that do not require any golf knowledge. To see the full list of committees available please look at our Volunteer Committee Descriptions Chart.

Q: When will I be notified about my committee assignment?

A: After completing your application online, you will be notified of your committee assignment. Approximately 2 -3 weeks before the tournament your committee chairman will notify you with your shift assignments.

Q: Can I work on more than one committee?

A: Yes, when filling out your application make a note of the second committee you would like to work and on which day(s).

Q: Can children work/volunteer?

A: Volunteers must be at least 13 years old. Children under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian sign a waiver of release for them to volunteer.

Q: Can I purchase additional uniform items?


A: You may purchase an additional shirt when you register or Wednesday of Tournament Week in the Volunteer Tent.

Q: When can we pick up our uniforms?


A: Uniforms will be available to pick up during our Volunteer Uniform Distribution and Training. Please check back for date and time.

Q: Can I exchange my uniform if it doesn’t fit?

A: Yes you can. You will have the option to exchange your uniform during our Uniform Distribution or you can exchange in the volunteer tent when you show up for your first shift. Additional sizes will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

Q: Will I be able to purchase additional uniform pieces at uniform distribution?

A: We will not start selling additional uniform items until Wednesday of Tournament Week.

Q: What should I wear when I volunteer?


A: As part of your volunteer package you will receive one golf shirt & jacket and a hat or visor. While on duty we ask that you wear the provided polo/jacket with khaki or navy bottoms (shorts, pants or golf skirts, NO JEANS or Athletic gear). Standard Bearers are given a t-shirt to wear while on duty.

Q: How do I get to the golf course?

A: Directions can be found under the Tournament Info tab on this website.

Q: Where do I park for the tournament?

A: Volunteers will park in LOT A of the John Q. Hammons Convention Center throughout the Tournament Week. You will need to show your volunteer badge each day to gain access into LOT A. Shuttles will start running each day two hours before play begins and one hour after play ends between LOT A and the Volunteer Tent which is located just down from the clubhouse at Pinnacle Country Club.

Q: Should I still show up to work if it is raining out?

A: Yes, unless you have been contacted by your committee head.

Q: Where do I go when I show up to volunteer?


A: When you get to the John Q. Hammons Convention Center you will need to park in Lot A (show your volunteer badge to get in), volunteer shuttles will be available to take you to the course. The volunteer shuttle will drop you off adjacent to the clubhouse, signage will direct you down to the Volunteer Tent. Once you have arrived at the Volunteer Tent, check in for your shift. After you check in at the Volunteer Tent you will be directed where to go for your shift.

Q: Will there be a volunteer party? When and where will the party be located?

A: There will be a Volunteer Appreciation Party. Please check back at a later time for more details.

Q: Will breakfast be provided?

A: A Continental Breakfast (pastries, fruit, coffee and water) will be provided to volunteers in the Volunteer Tent on the days they are scheduled to work.

Q: Where do I pick up my voucher for lunch?

A: All volunteers need to check in with Volunteer Services when you show up for your shift. When you check in for the day you will be given your lunch voucher.

Q: Where do I redeem my lunch voucher?


A: Lunch vouchers can be redeemed in the Volunteer Tent for lunch provided by Sara Lee.

Q: Can I bring outside food and beverage?

A: Outside food and beverages are not allowed on site.

Q: I have special Dietary Needs, who can I contact about this?

A: Please contact the Tournament Coordinator. We will do our best to accommodate any special needs.

Q: Will I receive additional tickets?

A: Yes, you will receive 4 weekly tickets to give to your friends and family.

Q: When will I know what professionals will be playing the tournament?

A: The final field will be posted on the website Tuesday, August 31st after 5:00pm.

Q: Can I ask for Autographs while volunteering?


A: It is strongly discouraged for uniformed volunteers to seek autographs during any of the rounds, as it is disruptive to the LPGA pros. If you wish to ask for autographs, please do so at times when you are not wearing your volunteer uniform.
