With the help of our sponsors, the Walmart Northwest Arkansas Championship presented by P&G is committed to giving back in Northwest Arkansas in significant ways.  In 2012, several local charities will receive approximately $400,000 in cash contributions through the tournament.  The primary focus of this year's charitable initiative is the Goodwill Industries' POWER program, which helps women in Benton and Washington Counties who are living in poverty and unemployed obtain employment and enter the workforce.  Through a collective grant from the tournament and the Walmart Foundation, the POWER program will receive a contribution of approximately $350,000 in connection with this year's tournament.  Several other local charities will also receive contributions.
