Acting LPGA Commissioner Rear Admiral Marsha J. Evans has a resume of nearly 30-years with the Navy and is one of only a handful of woman to reach the rank of rear admiral forging new ground for woman in the military. She was also the Chief of State at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis and was the first woman to command a U.S. naval station. Later, she assumed leadership of the Girl Scouts of the USA. She then became the 13th president and chief executive officer of the American Red Cross.
Evans has taken on the responsibilities of the LPGA Tour Commissioner until one is found to replace Carolyn Bivens.
