The event will remain a three-day, 54-hole championship.  Practice rounds will be available for the players on Monday and Tuesday, September 7 and 8; the Pro-Am events will be held Wednesday and Thursday, September 9 and 10; and the Tournament itself will be held Friday through the weekend, September 11 – 13.  Additional details on the event, including the official purse and potential television coverage, will be announced at a later time.

“This was simply our best available date for the 2009 event, given the available open dates on the LPGA Tour next year, and the fact that Pinnacle Country Club golf course will be undergoing a major renovation through much of next spring and summer,” said Jay Allen, Tournament Chairman.  “As everyone knows, we had a little rain during our inaugural event in September 2007, but generally September is a nice time of year in Northwest Arkansas, and it will be exciting to watch the LPGA players compete on the new and improved Pinnacle golf course.”

Allen added that the University of Arkansas Razorbacks will have an open date on their football schedule on the Saturday of the Tournament, September 12.
